No, SEMIWW, does not have any membership dues! Attendance to meetings and particpation does not require formal membership either.
When and where are the meetings?
Meetings are helds on the third Thursday of the month, 7pm at Just_George's shop
Are meetings always on the third Thursday of the month?
Our meetings are traditionally on this date and time. During the summer we do occasionally have Saturday meetings as well as additional meetings at other locations for things such as lumber buys.
How do I get a membership card?
Send a private message to Matt Meiser your real name at least one week before a third-Thursday meeting and pick up your card at the meeting. If you can't attend third-Thursday meetings, please contact the Board.
How are topics for meetings chosen? How can I suggest a topic?
Topics are chosen by committee. Topic suggestions are always welcome. Also, there is always time after meetings to ask questions and do short demos. For example: Want to learn how to face joint? Someone will be more than willing to show you how after the meeting.
Do I have to live in southeast Michigan to be a member?
No! We have members from all across nation and from all parts of the state.
Who's in charge here?
We often ask ourselves that question as well :)! There is a Board of Directors (currently comprised of Jamey Amrine, Chris Billman, Steve Sawyet, Matt Meiser, and Matt Erdman). Dave (aka Just_George) hosts the meetings, Jamey often hosts Galoot gatherings, and Rick provides web hosting.
